Robot sex talking free
More than once in my life, I've kissed a man I didn't know well while thinking: is this going to be the guy who finally does something bad to me?
Is this going to be the night that ends with a smiling picture of me on the cover of the newspaper, and a headline that tries to make my death a cautionary tale for girls who try to have sex "like a man"?
According to Real Doll, a company behind a range of startlingly lifelike sex robots, the futuristic lovers are actually saving the lives of the lonely men who wed them.
A spokesperson for the company said the most popular use for the bots is still as a purely sexual partner.
We recently told how the dolls were becoming increasingly popular among couples looking to enjoy risk-free threesomes.
"We have had customers marry their dolls, say that we had saved their lives because they felt like they had nothing to live for after the death of a spouse or the end of a relationship." The dolls on offer have proven so popular that there is a three-month waiting list to get your hands on one of the plastic partners.
With the option to customise almost every feature, sex dolls offer lonely punters a chance craft their dream woman.
I assumed this would make me an outlier — and based on some formal research, like the Tufts study, that seems true.
But the more I dug in, the more I saw that a lot of research and discussion was limited by the belief that women were inherently uninterested in sex robots ( like the previously noted University of Duisburg-Essen study).
